Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with finance stakeholders (FP&A, controllership, business finance) to gather and document detailed requirements for budget automation and reporting.

• Analyse current budgeting, forecasting, and financial closing processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

• Design solution frameworks and process flow for automated budgeting, including integration with SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, BPC/SAC, S/4HANA).

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and configuration requirements for technology teams.

• Work with implementation teams to validate configurations, support UAT, and ensure solutions meet business expectations.

• Define KPIs, report formats, and dashboards to improve transparency and performance tracking across budgeting and financial planning.

• Prepare documentation including process maps, solution design documents, SOPs, and training materials.

• Conduct user training and change management workshops for finance teams.

• Provide post-go-live support, issue analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in finance, business analysis, or consulting roles focused on budgeting, planning, or financial process improvement.

• Strong understanding of core finance concepts: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, GL, cost centers, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow.

• Hands-on experience with SAP in a finance context (e.g., FI/CO, BPC, SAC, or S/4HANA finance); ability to work with SAP functional/technical teams.

• Proven experience in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution blueprinting for finance processes.

• Experience in process mapping (e.g., BPMN, Visio, Lucid chart) and documentation.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; exposure to BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud) is a plus.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, clarify, and translate needs into solutions.

• Consulting mindset: structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven approach, and ability to work in ambiguous environments.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in implementing or enhancing budget automation tools or EPM platforms.

• Exposure to large enterprises or shared services environments.
