Position Summary:

The Managed Services EDI Engineer is responsible for providing consulting, troubleshooting, and configuration support to customers for EDI within the Client Terminal Operating System (TOS). This role involves monitoring and diagnosing EDI configurations, setting up and testing new EDI messages, developing maps, managing communication streams with EDI trading partners, onboarding new trading partners, and resolving real-time EDI errors during message processing within Client software.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and diagnose EDI performance within Client software.
  • Configure and deploy new EDI messages for customers.
  • Onboard new trading partners, ensuring seamless integration with EDI systems.
  • Research and resolve EDI errors in real time to ensure seamless message processing.
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported EDI issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in accordance with Service Level
  • Agreements (SLAs), maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Standby for critical P1 incidents, with availability to work weekends or shifts as necessary to support customers 24/7.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant college qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing EDI in an enterprise software environment or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in both U.S. (ANSI X12) and UN (EDIFACT) EDI formats, including transaction sets such as BAPLIE, COPARN, COPRAR, 315 (UN/EDIFACT) and 214, 310, 322, 404 (ANSI X12).
  • Highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to client satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in the maritime or logistics industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Client TOS is a significant advantage.
  • Experience working in distributed virtual teams.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Maintains a professional image, personality, and demeanour.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
